New Leaders Council – Houston

Equipping the Next Generation of Civic Leaders

Overview
New Leaders Council (NLC) – Houston is part of a national movement to build a pipeline of inclusive, equity-driven leaders committed to making a positive impact in their communities. Focused on training emerging leaders from underrepresented backgrounds, NLC Houston brings together changemakers across industries—nonprofit, business, government, and grassroots organizing—for a dynamic fellowship experience rooted in values, strategy, and service.

Why It Matters
At The Change Lab, we believe sustainable change requires courageous, collaborative leadership. NLC Houston cultivates just that—preparing the next generation of leaders to address Houston’s toughest challenges with integrity, empathy, and bold ideas. Their work empowers participants to lead where they are, create inclusive spaces, and build the relationships needed to drive systemic change.
