Compudopt

Technology access and education to unlock potential and reduce the digital divide.

Mission

Compudopt’s mission is to provide technology access and education to under-resourced youth and their communities in order to eliminate the digital divide. By connecting families with computers and offering high-quality tech training, Compudopt empowers individuals to achieve economic and educational success in a digital-first world.

Why It Matters

The digital divide isn't just about internet access—it's about opportunity. Millions of families lack the devices or digital literacy needed to thrive in today’s society. Compudopt removes those barriers through computer distribution, digital skills training, and workforce development programs. This work is foundational to equity in education, employment, and civic participation—especially in underserved communities.

Alignment with The Change Lab

Compudopt strongly supports The Change Lab’s goals around equitable access, education, and community resilience. By providing the hardware and knowledge needed to participate in a digital society, Compudopt lays the groundwork for deeper civic engagement, storytelling, and economic mobility. Their programs align with multiple Change Lab pathways, particularly Learn About Local Issues, Share Your Story, and Contribute to a Community Data Project.
