Welcome to the Resource Center
The Change Lab’s Resource Center is your guide for civic learning and action — featuring training modules, upcoming webinars, spotlights on aligned organizations, and a calendar of local events. Whether you’re just getting started or looking for your next step, this is where knowledge meets community — and where small actions can lead to real change.
Please note: This is a temporary site while we build out the full Civic Impact Engine — a next-generation platform designed to help you explore personalized pathways into civic life, connection, and community action. We’re excited you’re here at the start. Let’s build something meaningful together.

Jul 22, 2025 11:00 AM CST Webinar How Weaving Together Agency and Opportunity Can Shape a Common American Vision
At a time when so much feels beyond our control, can we shape our future? A seven-year investigation by the Beacon Project at More in Common shows that Americans of all stripes believe that individuals have the power to transcend negative circumstances, or “personal agency.” But they also think that people should be afforded the opportunity to exercise that agency—not just to better themselves, but also to improve their communities. In other words, with agency comes responsibility. We call this “morally directed agency,” and suggest it may be a key to a shared vision of America’s future. In this webinar, lead author Dr. Daniel Yudkin will offer a tour of a large-scale investigation of Americans' beliefs in personal agency, spanning 60,000 people across four countries.
Americans' Views on the State of Our Democracy
Our findings explore Americans' attitudes around democracy and its state under the Trump administration. We find that Americans agree upon both the importance of democracy and common principles but diverge as to how the Trump Administration’s actions are affecting our democracy. To read our findings in full, go to Shared Ideals, Divergent Realities.

The Connection Opportunity
Experts often warn of a growing crisis of connection. Yet in a time when Americans feel divided, do they really want to connect with others—especially with those who are different from them? And if they do, what’s standing in their way?
We’re a brand new organization focused on connection, civic participation, and shared understanding. This is our temporary website while we build out a full online platform to better serve our community. In the meantime, we’d love your support and input as we grow. You can support our work or schedule a conversation to learn more and get involved.
